 Put Your Web Search on Auto-Pilot
Do you want to know what's being said online about you, your
business, or your competitors? Do you like to stay on top of news and trends in
your industry? Do you have trouble finding time for this type of research, or
remembering to do it? If so, it's time that you discovered Google
Alerts!
Google Alerts are email updates of
Google search results on your choice of keywords or phrases. Simply use
drop-down menus to indicate whether you want to search news, blogs, the web,
videos, Google groups, or a comprehensive search, and whether you wish to be
notified immediately, daily, or weekly. Although you don't need to sign up for a
Google account to receive Alerts, I do recommend it, because it will allow you
to log in and easily edit your search terms or make other changes.
You can subscribe to up to 1000 Alerts at any one time, which
should be enough to include both your personal and professional interests!
