AMERICA RECYCLES DAY NOVEMBER 15
Talk about the Stuff of Life!! We've all got too much of it
and here comes an opportunity to release some of that to the universe.
AMERICA
RECYCLES DAY November 15!!!
Since the first America Recycles Day in 1997, Americans have
become better informed about the importance of recycling and buying products
made from recycled materials. However, we still have a long way to go.
Each day the average American disposes 5-7 pounds of
garbage, of which we are recycling about a third of it. We can all strive to do
better.
Take aluminum cans, for instance. According to the EPA
(Environmental Protection Agency), recycling one ton of aluminum cans saves the
energy equivalent of 36 barrels of oil or 1,655 gallons of gasoline.
Just recycling a SINGLE aluminum can saves energy to power a
television for three hours. However, according to the National Recycling
Coalition, every three months Americans discard enough aluminum into landfills
to rebuild the entire fleet of commercial airplanes!
What does your community have planned for this great day?

to clear out space for those upcoming friends and relatives and holiday
decorations that arrive into our lives this time of year!!

what your community has planned and what you plan to release into the universe
for recycling.
Until next time
