	"How I Started As An Organizer"

Organizing has always been in me. It is something that I cannot NOT do. When our family took another corporate move, it was the perfect opportunity to start a new career. I just had to find the courage and the knowledge to do it.

I read every book. I read every organizers web site. I e-mail chatted with any professional organizer that would give me the time of day. I joined my local professional organizers association and asked questions, questions and more questions. (Professional Organizers are a very PATIENT lot. I am proof of that.) I decided that I would never give up on my goal of working as an organizer.

To date my greatest obstacle has always been being a businesswoman. Many are organizers but few are businesswomen! I was an at-home-mom for many years and was never a businesswoman. It doesn't come NATURALLY to me like organizing does.

I learn by trial and error but more often I learn from OTHERS. Fortunately the professionals whom I have the opportunity to associate with are a marvelous bunch who genuinely want to see others succeed.

Above all, I see my skill, perception and ability to reach into a person and understand him or her as a GIFT from God that I overlooked for many years. It was there all the time, in my own back yard, it just took me a while to see it and have the courage to do something with it.

Long story short, I take my natural skills, combine it with what I learn each day and make 'a go' at being the BEST professional organizer that I can be.
