What to do About the Winter Blah's

HOW ABOUT GETTING READY FOR SPRING?

I am like everyone else, BORED WITH WINTER, but I have decided that even if the rest of the world isn't ready for it, I am going to THINK SPRING!

Why waste this great time of the year to get all of those chores done; so you can enjoy the nice weather when it gets here. Now is the time to tackle all of the things that keep you in the house when the sun is shining.

ü Paint the lawn furniture and fix all the broken parts

ü Paint the wheelbarrow, lawnmower and handles on the garden tools

ü Give the garden tools a good coating of WD-40, this cleans them up and makes it easier for dirt to fall right off of them

ü Paint the lawn ornaments

ü Get the camping gear ready for summer, clean everything up and pack all of the things you used up last year

ü Clean out dresser drawers

ü Get rid of all of the winter clothes that are too small

ü Clean the sump pump..get ready for the rain

ü Give a few of the rooms a fresh coat of paint

ü Clean out all of the old medicine in the bathroom and restock

ü Get the bikes all cleaned up,get new chains, check the tires etc.

ü Clean the drapes and carpets

ü Put the cars in the driveway and clean out the garage

ü Clean the linen closet..get new sheets

ü Clean out the towel cupboard, replace worn ones and cut the old ones up for washing the car, walls or rags

ü Get all of the fishing gear ready, add new line, check the hooks, sinkers etc.

ü Clean all of the drains in the house

ü Clean all of the ceiling fans

ü Go thru catalogs and get an idea of what you need for summer fun

ü Pick out flowers for in the garden or on the balcony from seed catalogs

ü Clean out the freezer

ü Have the kids sort their toys..keep-throw out-give away

ü Check the hot water heater, drain and refill

There are so many things to do in the spring that you don't know where to start, so start now and give yourself time to REALLY enjoy the nice weather.

Fun Things To Do

Fishing Lake Michigan
Whether it is by boat or off the pier, there is nothing like getting that first Coho or King.
Grandchildren are fun
Making memories for your grandchildren of all of the fun times they had with grandma and grandpa is one of the best memories you will make for yourself too.
Camping
A tent, a firepit and sitting in the woods is a campers dream. We spend a lot of time camping in Northern Wisconsin and I have tons of camping recipes to share.

TV Shows

American Idol
I am hooked on this show, nothing interrupts me when this is on. By the time they get to Hollywood, I already have the top ten picked out.
Last Comic Standing
I love to see how these people, take the judges advice and change their tactics to become great comics, instead of just a comic.
House
Now really, isn't he the kind of doctor you want on your side? He always has a reason for his actions, he looks until he finds the cure and he has flaws just like the rest of us.
Any home make over show
I get some of my best ideas off of these shows and I also find things that I wouldn't dream of doing to someone elses home. I will admit, there are times that I wish they would call me and ask for my help!
