Organization Success Stories!
Today, I'll share a bit about this success story.
Background on the Situation and Client
The pictures above are before and after images from a wonderful woman that lives and works out of her home. In fact, she owns TWO different successful businesses -- a residential home building company and an erosion control service. To protect her privacy, I'll call her LW.
LW is a fascinating woman. She works from home with her husband, son and others. Yet, unlike many families that work together, does not want to shoot them! (I'm not sure that I would be able to say the same - it is a good thing that Marlon works outside of the house!) She is a very talented photographer and used to own a photography studio. She is the grandmother of many wonderful children. She is a cat lover. She is an amazing home decorator. She has beautiful gardens around her home. She is a compassionate people person. Why do I tell you all of these things? Well, so that you know that she is real. Just like you and I. She has her work and other interests too.
She contacted us to help her so that she could regain some sense of calm and control in her office environment. When we feel out of control, we cannot get as much done with our businesses/work as we would like.
How We Helped & Result
LW hired us for our Office Miracle Service. She was a fabulous student and took right to the new tools that we introduced to her. In her words the day after the service "I can not thank you enough for the tremendous amount of help you have been to me. I never imagined that I would be able to see the top of my desk again and know where every piece of paper is and what to do with the papers in the future to avoid the dreaded piles and clutter. . . Although I was apprehensive at first about changing my old filing habits, I can already see how much better this system will be."
When we talked with LW we reminded her that getting the systems in place was just the beginning. I'd like to remind you of that too. Getting organized is step one, but staying organized is a process. You develop habits that don't work well over a period of time and it will take a period of time to unlearn them too.
