March is Crafty Month
Did you know that March is the National Craft Month? The Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) promotes crafts in the month of March through a national convention and continues to promote through businesses and communities. I found out that March is Craft month from an email I got from Xyron and it got me thinking what I could do to get a little more crafty... so when in doubt... Goggle!
The first site I came across was CHA's and they discussed the hows and whys of March being Craft month and ways to promote getting crafty (which I always love). You don't have to have a business to need a reason to get crafty. You could: Host an inhouse crafting event, offer demonstration event where each person demos a different skill or craft or partner with a friend for a charitable event. Don't forget about your local community centers (they live for this kind of stuff) as a great place to host an event or have a gathering place.
Then I found Craft Place which I have never seen before. Yummy!!!! Let's just say their tag line is Your Inspirations Place for Crafts and Hobbies... delicious !
This little web search adventure is why I love and can't live without the web. Within less than five minutes, not only did I have a list of ideas on how I can get crafty, but I found a whole website with oodles of ideas of craft creations (for me and my kids).
How long do you think it would have taken me to find all that information ten years ago?
Do you use the web to enhance an idea or project? Please share!!!!
