Entryway Essentials
In the process of trying to sell my house (oh how much fun I am having with that, let me tell ya...), there is one thing that is very clear to me. Your entryway is the first thing that people see when they come in the door. It's the first impression people have when the come to your home and we always want to make a good impression (especially when we are trying to sell our house).
The entry can also be the dumping ground for everyone's stuff. When we come home, we are tired or in a hurry and it's easy to just drop everything on the floor or chair. Maybe it's time to consider what kind of storage is being used. Here are 5 ways some easy ways to make sure that your entryway is beautiful and easy to maintain:
1. Have a designated space/spot for the "stuff", like hats, coats, shoes and bags.
2. Use things like baskets, boxes, shoe bags or hooks to ensure that everything has a home.
3. Include something beautiful for you to look at like a painting, photograph or maybe a mirror.
4. Teach good habits to everyone in the house about putting things away, this will ensure the entry is always clean and beautiful.
5. Don't have a closet? There are so many options for storage pieces in an entryway, just make sure to measure to ensure what you are considering will fit.
