I just got back from a wonderful week of vacation at Cape May and decided to give my blog a slight vacation too. Instead of hard-core office organizing guidance, today I wanted to divert and mention a resource that is available nation-wide: Clutterers Anonymous.

I'm fascinated and intrigued by Clutterers Anonymous which is a group of people with clutter challenges and is based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. I cannot participate because I am a Professional Organizer, but it appears to be a low cost way to address issues related to clutter and disorganization.

Here are some highlights:

There are chapters nation-wide in California, NY, NJ, Northern VA, etc.

On-line 20 question quiz to determine if you are a clutterer
Not a religious but a spiritual twist
Addresses the emotions behind the clutter and core reasons for the clutter (even some Professional Organizers never address this topic)

I'm publicizing this information, not because I'm endorsing this organization, but I want people to know that it is an option that is available. You or someone you know may find it beneficial.
