Trash turns into tools!

Wow! Looks like you all really loved my organizing tool suggestions last week! To stay on that same theme, here are a few things that some might consider "garbage or trash" but I see as possible treasures... always look at the possibilities!!!

What I like best about them is that you can add your own personal touch and make them your own.  What is not to love about the MASON JAR? I can think of 10 things I could use it for, not to mention during berry picking season, it makes great storage for jam, jelly and preserves!

When you are creative, you can use this for ribbon storage, small embellishments, or random miscellaneous tools.... not to mention it's writing utensil storage abilities!

Some creative ways you can "dress this up" are with ribbon, mod podge or maybe some diamond glaze. The possibilities are endless when it comes to a mason jar.

I find these at garage sales (for really cheap) and the more miss matched the better (it just means they are cheaper)!

Another great find is the APPLE CRATE. I have a great story about how I came into the apple crates, but we will save that for another day.

These are awesome for so many organizing needs. We use them for magazines, books, toys, garage supplies, outdoor gear, and gardening tools.

The size is what really appeals to me because they will never be overlaoded and the kids can carry them well. Small items like legos don't go over too well with these, unless you have the really nice ones that don't have very large cracks.  How did we "dress them up?"

With a little paint and some mod podge or diamond glaze (do you see a theme here...?Wink), you can make these into what ever you like. You can paint them with a theme or turn them into a piece of art. With a little paint, some pictures and maybe even some hand/feet prints, these could make great gifts for the grandparents too! Storage with a personal touch!
