Organizing Gives You Control
There are a lot of transactions going on in the United States that you and I have no control over. The economy and the stock market have been in a spin. In Atlanta there is a gas shortage, where people are waiting over an hour to fill up their tanks, and then often find the station has run out of gas. These events are out of your control.
Focus on what YOU can control! Every time I meet with a client, I express my philosophy "organizing gives you control." When our offices are in disarray, we feel a sense of being out-of-control; clutter causes visual stress. We all crave more order in our lives. By organizing our sphere of influence (our offices, our homes), it reduces our stress and gives us more control.
If our economy is making you feel anxious, now is the time to kick-off that organizing project that you keep postponing. A disorganized office drains your energy, but you can change your office. It may take a small investment of time, but the results are gratifying. As Julie Morgenstern states, "organizing is the process by which we design environments that enable us to live, work, and relax exactly how we want." This is in your sphere of control.
You can also organize your business finances. If you keep putting it off, now is the time to properly start tracking your business cash flow: your income and expenses. Quickbooks is the most popular small business financial software on the market.
