Overcoming a Bulk Office Supply Issue
This issue is most commonly found in a home office. Take a quick inventory of how many large boxes of filing supplies you have. This could be the box of Staples hanging files, the box of Smead manila folders, the box of Pendaflex colored file folders, etc. I bet you have between 7 and 12 boxes.
You probably have them either stored in a file drawer, taking up value space where you should be storing and filing the papers sitting on your desk, or you have them stacked on top of each other four layers high. If you have those stacked 4 layers high, how convenient is it to access the box on the bottom of the stack?
The simple solution is to purchase a set of plastic drawers which can sit on a bookshelf. Assign each box of file supplies to a separate drawer. You will no longer have to un-stack 3, 4, or 5 levels of boxes (a hassle) to get what you need. Also, the multitude of different colored boxes is visually stressful. The plastic drawers are usually slightly frosted, muting the colors and providing a calm appearance.
