RETRIEVE PRECIOUS MOMENTS
When it feels like time is flying by you and almost out of control it's time to take a look at what you're and how you're doing it. Begin by asking others how they complete the same tasks you are behind in.
Become a careful observer of how others go through daily routines. You might learn something about yourself – things like expecting a job to be "perfect", while others have learned that "good enough is usually best" or that certain areas of your work are disorganized.
If you've just begun a new hobby, watch out for over- dosing. Too often in our initial enthusiasm for a new hobby, we commit ourselves far beyond what is realistic. Perhaps you started a garden, but before you knew it you had so many fruit trees, vegetables, and shrubs that all your spare time goes into maintain them. Now you dread your hobby when it was supposed to be a means to relaxation. If you're relating all too well to this then it's time to take control of your hobby, simplifying it until it takes only a comfortable amount of time.
Finally, in our search for precious moments let's take a look at and assessment of your personal grooming routine. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Maybe it's time for a professional haircut that requires only a quick combing. At times it may be faster to use an electric razor vs. a blade razor. And simplifying your makeup routine may get your morning off to a better and faster start.
So, the next time "time" seems to be flying – take a good look at what you're doing and how it is being done. You just may find a few more minutes for the days ahead.
