Gentle reminders are they helpful or irritating?
I love gentle little reminders. In my opinion, it's a kind way of telling me what to do (or in this case, what not to do).
Martha Stewart has made a living by giving us gentle reminders, (that's the first article I read in her Living magazine). She has such an eloquent way of telling us it's time to clear the clutter off our front porch, or pull weeds in our yard.
If you stop and think about it, we get gentle reminders everyday, everywhere.
For months now, I have been seeing this little reminders at the bottom of email signatures. It's not very big, but can pack a big punch. I finally added this to my signature block, as a gentle reminder that I think is worth saying.
It's this cute little tree image (pictured here) along with a kind reminder... Please consider the environment before printing this email.
The funny thing about this little reminder is that it actually INFURIATES some people (I am not going to tell you who, just Google it), so much so that they have to write about it how irritating it is that people have to actually tell someone not to waste paper.
In my opinion, the reason why so many people complain about this, is because, perhaps, they don't like being told what to do and that they know they print way too many emails...
Tell me, does this gentle reminder bother you?
