The economy of our time is causes changes. Take advantage of it, if at all possible. Here's an example, The Container Store is a well-run, organized ship just like Nordstorms. Once a year they have a 30% sale on everything elfa. Elfa is their shelving product for closets, rooms, etc. I just received an ad from their President that in an unprecedented move, all elfa products are back on sale again at 30% off due to too much inventory – they have also been hit by the downturn.

I like elfa products because it allows you to build a customized closet solution on a fraction of the cost then a "custom closet" company. So if you've been wanting to turn the closet in your home office to a true supply closet, now is the time to add the shelving. I recommend that you kick-off your project on-line vs going into the store. They walk you through the process step-by-step on-line and tell you exactly what and how to measure. You can enter the measurements on-line and then have them email you the design document or go into the store for the design document.

My husband and I have outfitted both our master bedroom closet and our kitchen pantry with Elfa shelving, and I highly recommend the product! The people at the Container Store really know what they're doing, and the shelving itself is an incredible (and easy to install) product! We have since purchased a "similar" system from Rubbermaid for our nursery's closet, and there's no comparison. Elfa is the way to go.
