Dress up any box into a stylish storage show piece!
With the demands we face each day every small expense can start to add up.
When faced with the question, "Do I put gas in my car or should I buy the new file box for my office?"
I am not saying, don't skimp on your organizing supplies, just start thinking outside the box rather than what to put in.
Here are a few everyday items you can turn into beautiful stylish organizing storage with a twist...
Dress up a plain box with some fabric/paper and glue. Simply pick a piece of fabric/paper that will cover the box completely (check out this step by step). You can even dress it up with a little ribbon trim.... With a cutting tool and some glue you can turn a plain box into a beautiful (and stylish) storage container for next to nothing.
- Plain cardboard file boxes can be used as open storage for files, magazines or toys
- Shoe boxes can be used as open storage for remotes and small items, or with a cover for photo storage
- Cereal boxes are great for magazines or paperwork. Simply cut off the top (on an angle) and line up on a shelf.
With contact paper, you can eliminate the "glue" aspect and dress up any box quickly. You would be surprised to see some of the great contact paper designs that are out there now... you can even find it (most of the time) at garage sales.
Dressing up a simple box can create a beautiful storage solution... simply and easily.
