Fun magazine storage boxes with flare
A few weeks ago I talked a little bit about dressing up any storage box. I just love the idea of taking something boring or plain and adding a little bit of my own style. It's like being creative without really having to work to hard for something beautiful.
I was reading a few back issues of Martha's Living, I noticed she did it again. She created something amazing and made it seem so easy. That got my attention.
In the article called Good Things she talked about dressing up a naked wooden magazine box and turning it into something fabulous! What I really liked about this particular idea is that you can use three or four of the same of magazine holder and face them with a patterned paper to create a continuous design (kind of like wall paper). How cute would that look on a bookshelf?
I ran across the Knuff at IKEA which I believe is exactly what she used.
It got me thinking of how I could dress them up myself. What a neat show piece in any craft room or living space. Did I mention that the Knuff is only $4.99, and it's wood!
