FOOD SHOPPING BY THE AISLE

We are so busy these days, running here, running there. Do you find that you are running into the grocery store at the end of a long day to pick up some things or are you scheduling a time to go the grocery store to do the food shopping for the week?

Either way, in order to save time, you need to do your food shopping by the aisle. If you shop in the same supermarket all the time, you should be familiar with the basic layout of the store. This can help when you are making your grocery list too.

Are you thinking, "Make a grocery list? Are you kidding me? I just run in an grab what I see and think that I need".

As in any other type of organizing, food shopping involves organization too. Besides the meal planning, grocery list preparation and coupon gathering, you should think about the layout of the store you intend to shop in.

You can visit the store's website for an aisle by aisle listing or pick up a copy of the store layout at the Customer Service Desk before you begin to plan your list.

If the produce aisle is the first aisle in the store, prepare your shopping list so that all the produce is at the top of the list and grouped together. Do the same thing with the other items on your list. Always keep in mind how the store is laid out and prepare your list accordingly. The last items on your list should be for the items located in the last aisle in the store you need to shop in.

A little forethought goes a long way. This system will save you lots of time when hunting down the items you need. We can all stand to save some time. Organizing your shopping list will do just that!

So true. Consistently going to the same grocery store saves time and money because you know how much things cost and don't have to compare prices each time and you know the layout of the store. Great post!!!
