Blog: Minimizing Financial Clutter
My Super Bowl Weight-Loss Plan
The Ravens didn't make it. I'm snowed-in under a blanket of 26 inches of snow, so I can't escape it. So while I was in the shower this morning, I came up with a way to lose several pounds during the Big Game.
During 2009, I gained some weight. So did you. Not that kind of weight. I'm talking about the weight of paper statements. Think about all of the weekly, monthly, and quarterly statements you accumulated last year:
· Pay stubs
· Investment statements
· Explanations of benefits from your health insurance company
· Credit card statements
If you have received your W-2 and year-end summaries of the transactions in your accounts, you can eliminate the weekly, monthly, and quarterly statements!
So I'll spend the Super Bowl watching the commercials and shredding those statements. Now that's a winning weight-loss program!
