Blog: Use Your Space & Conquer Office Workflow
Never Check Email in the Morning
The title of Julie Morgenstern's book Never Check Email in the Morning was a total turn-off to me. Why? Because before I became a Professional Organizer, I was an ERP consultant and ALWAYS checked my email in the morning. I found it difficult to pick-up and read a book whose title was completely against my grain.
Now that I've gotten past the title, the main point behind the title is clear and it resonates……spend the first hour of your day completing YOUR priority project and then you can check email and see what the rest of the world wants from you.
By completing your priority task first, you will achieve a sense of work satisfaction that every day you complete a critical task!
Julie Morgenstern explains it well. Check out Julie's 2-minute video on this subject of avoiding productivity traps by clicking on Tutorials when you get to the site.
