Unique Organizing Systems – Not Office
Even though I focus on the office, there are non-office organizing systems that are unique or that I use in my own home, that are worth a shout-out. Here are a few:
Packtoozi – It is a system for the random items you need when you're a family on-the-go and trying to get everyone out the door as sanely and as quickly as possible. It consists of an over the door hanging system with matching colored pouches and a tote with matching colored compartments. The colors and pouches each have particular meaning and purpose. It's in my house and used all the time.
Food Storage Rotation System – With the situation in Japan and the 10-year anniversary of 9-11, folks will again be focused on disaster preparedness. If you want a system to store enough emergency food and be used as a helpful bulk food management system, check out it out.
Elfa closet by The Container Store – The system is so versatile. I turned the wall of a whole small room into an Elfa Closet and was able to incorporate into the Elfa design a small free-standing piece of furniture (a jewelry cabinet). It also included a rolling cart with a flat surface; it's pulled out when flat space is needed to fold clothes. The Container Store has recently updated their online elfa Design Center.
