Cube Carousel Book Storage Solution
I've blogged about this organizing solution about 6 months ago, but a new version has hit the marketplace so its worth re-visiting. Multiple clients of mine have used a cube carousel to solve their book and binder storage challenges. The advantages of a cube carousel:
-
Fits in small spaces and provides twice as much storage of a traditional bookshelf in the same space
-
Sits on rolling casters allowing mobility and flexibility
-
Utilizes unused spaces such as corners
The styles vary greatly from true antique wooden units to contemporary versions such as the new version by Bindertek. Bindertek will tell you exactly how many binders will fit on their cube carousel, and they allow you to customize the unit with bright, colorful, snap-on magnetic boards.
I've seen cube carousels work in home and commercial office space settings. In a residential setting, it fits well in a small guest bedroom. In a commercial office, it was perfect because there was a heating/cooling wall panel unit which could not be blocked with a heavy piece of office furniture such as a desk or set of lateral file drawer. The mobile cube carousel was the ideal solution for this spot, holding the clients books and binders.
