Back to School - Table & Chair
I usually blog about organizing your office; however, this week we will veer slightly into the younger set getting you ready for back-to-school. Before your child gets a desk for homework, you are probably interested in a work space where they can do arts & crafts. Wouldn't it be great to buy a piece of furniture where a kid can comfortably sit in a chair and properly use his materials to finish his homework or create great art with lots of room to work, AND as the kid grows the table grows! Tables with adjustable legs are available. Here's a link to a Table & Chair Height Guideline about the proper height of a desk and chair based on the age of your child.
Here's an example of a table with adjustable legs. This high quality table was so easy to adjust, my kids did the adjusting.
Here's an example of a junior desk chair which has an adjustable height from 15" to adult and comes in fun colors like pink and red. 15" is an appropriate height for most 7, 8, & 9-year olds. See Table & Chair Height Guideline for more details.
Another adjustable table is from The Land of Nod which goes from a low train station table to a regular sized desk.
