UNDERSTAND YOURSELF
Do you get lost in the mall? Do you have to look at your wedding ring to tell your left hand from your right? Do you misplace things in your home, and then spend frustrating time searching through the piles to find it? Don't be discouraged! There is hope for you! You are not crazy! You are right brained!
Sandra Felton's book, The Messies Superguide can help you understand WHY you tend to be disorganized and why it frustrates you! Her book can give you a new way to understand yourself, your habits, and your goals. In The Messies Superguide, Felton explain the different ways right-brained and left-brained people function. Simply put, people who are primarily left-brained are by nature orderly, logical, and punctual; they figure things out step by step and function best when their lives and possessions are organized. Right-brained people are more creative, intuitive, and impulsive; they have a harder time making decision, tend to procrastinate; and as Felton say, they are often called "Messy."
Unfortunately, the strengths of being a predominately right-brained person are also what tend to become their frustrations. So, should be assume that if you are a left-brained person, you are organized; and if you are predominately right-brained you might as well get used to living in a mess? Not at all!
Right-brained people can learn organization tips that fit the way their brain works. And for you predominantly left-brained people-browse through the wonderfully creative photo albums and poetry journals of our right-brained friends! Take time to understand the various ways people function and enjoy the differences!
