Blog: Stop Putting Your Goals On Hold
Not this year!
My to do list is getting done! Slowly but surely I'm accomplishing my goals.
Last week I planned to:
1. Confirm number of holiday cards needed (plus a few extra for unexpected people and mistakes) DONE! 210 total plus 10 spare = 220 grand total
2. Check last years stock then buy cards if needed DONE! Found a box of 70 so I needed to buy 150- DID THAT
3. Carry a few cards and the master list in my tote bag with me so when I have a few moments like waiting in a doctor's waiting area I can address a few DONE! I'm up to the N's in the address book. Only 12 more letters to go.
It feels so great to be on top of things. But I don't want to get to confident, life has a way of changing quickly and unexpected things can demand more time an I'll be off track again.
So I'll enjoy my success while it lasts and plan to reach my next goal.
My next goal is to make a plan for 2008. All too often I hope for enough time to really sit down and write out my goals but then it's halfway through the year and I decide to wait until the next year.
Well not this year! This year I'm going to make the time. This weekend I'm going to put pen to paper and make a list, probably a long list, of all the stuff I'd love to do. I'm not going to worry about how I'll do it, if I have enough money to do it or even if it can be done. I'm simply going to write. I'll leave the editing for a later step.
Will you join me this weekend and write a list? I hope so then we'll both have a master plan for 2008. Happy dreaming!
