Blog: Organize This!
 Book is finally done!
I just finished the trilogy of books by Stieg Larsson: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. What a great ride! I'm sad when I finish a good book because I come to the realization that I'll never read about these people again and I'll miss the characters. And speaking about finishing a book, I have sent my first book to the publisher! The title is "Organize This! Practical Tips, Green Ideas, and Ruminations about your CRAP". CRAP stands for Clutter that Robs Anyone of Pleasure. I have to admit that after almost a year of pouring my heart out, I'm ready to see it in print!
The collaboration process with my editors and the illustrator was my favorite part. It's amazing how mutual collaboration can make the finished product better than I ever imagined – each person has their own gifts to add to the mix. Although I love writing, I didn't realize how hard it would be to sit down and just do it. After weeks of "I'll get around to it", I realized I had to schedule each writing session or I would never started, let alone finish! Many of my clients voice this same frustration when it comes to trying to get organized – organizing can be one of those things that some people just never get around to doing. If one of your new year's resolutions is to get organized, schedule it in. List it on your to-do list, day planner, or smartphone just like any other task to follow through on your intention to get organized.
