Labels for Clothing & Fabric Bins
Today is one of my off-topic blogs, but it is a helpful resource for families. Some folk are going back to school and other have 3 more weeks of summer camps. Sleep-away camps always ask you to label your kid's clothes, and schools highly recommend it. Here are some options for labeling:
-
Laundry marker – My laundry marker has lasted forever. Write your child's name on the clothing care tags. The only downside is that many children's garments no longer have a tag - the size is just imprinted on the clothing material itself. You can also write directly on the clothing; it just gets a little messier (harder to read) at times
-
Fabric Iron-On Tape – Buy fabric tape for your regular Brother labeler, print the fabric label and then iron the lab onto the clothing. The fabric tape (a TZ tape) is only available for some labelers. These also work to label small, square fabric bins – even an old one
-
No-Iron Clothing Labels – New product at Staples from the Martha Steward Home Office. You'll need a permanent market to handwrite the name on the label and then press it onto the clothing. This is another good option for the small, square fabric bins – even an old one
-
Personalized Labels - Special order clothing labels personalized with your child's name. A couple of resources are Mabels Labels and Label Your Stuff
