Giving Non-clutter Gifts
As the Christmas and Hanukah holidays get closer, you may be thinking about all the "stuff" that will be under your tree this year. Or if you have little ones, how much stuff will be received at Grandma and Grandpa's house!
Several years ago when asked what I wanted for Christmas, I thought long and hard about my response. I didn't necessarily want more stuff that I would have to take care of, maintain and find a home for.
As I thought about consumable gifts, I was surprised at how many gift ideas I was able to come up with that I could really get excited about. Like a massage, pedicure or Godiva chocolate! And then I decided to become more proactive about giving gifts to others that were along the same No-Clutter theme.
For my Grandma Schady: Stationary, a book of stamps and a wall calendar. These are all items she normally has to go out and purchase herself and she really appreciates getting these as gifts at Christmas time.
For the music lover: Downloads for an Ipod.
Family gift ideas: Annual pass to the local zoo, children's museum or science museum.
Teenager gift ideas: Gift certificates for ski lift tickets, rock climbing wall passes, movie passes, or gas cards.
I think with a little creative think-time, you'll be able to come up with no-clutter gift ideas too.
Happy Shopping!
