 Space Clearing . . . Releasing the Build-Up
I recently assisted an owner and his wife on selling a home they had purchased and remodeled. We had already gone over the motions of everything they could do to sell their home quicker and he had made the changes and extremely well I might add.
When the home was not selling and I went back for a follow-up visit, our conversation moved to the history of the home. The previous tenants had a lot of issues. There were financial problems, continuous battles between family members within the home, lots of arguing, and ugly allegations of inappropriate behaviors. When this happens in a home, the displaced energy is recorded in the space. It attaches to walls, floors, fixtures, furniture, and objects.
Over time, the displaced energy builds up like grime does, except you can't see it with your eyes. This affects the well being of anyone living in the home, moving into the home down the road, as well as trying to sell the property. We had lots of potential buyers walk through the house and say nothing but great things. It just didn't feel right.
Because the owner was open and had an understanding of energy in a space, I met him at the home on a Friday with space clearing supplies in hand. After sharing a few guidelines and affirming that we were space clearing and not enhancing the space, we proceeded to space clear the home. Within a few days, we had an offer. The contract was accepted and we are set to close the first part of January.
Does this always happen . . . No. You don't always get this type of results the first time you clear a space. Sometimes you need to repeat the process depending on the circumstances. And before you ever do any space clearing, make sure you know the guidelines. One of my favorite books is Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston. This is her expertise and she does a great job of educating you on the process. It's not only important to know what to do as what NOT to do. If you have organized your home and applied Feng Shui principles without results, it just may be time to clear out that unseen build-up!
