SCRAPS... what to do with them?
So often no matter what our craft we will always accumulate scraps. If it's paper, ribbon, fabric or thread we just can't justify throwing it away.
I am a firm believer that you CAN save everything and make it work. The problem with that theory is that if you did save everything, you would never use anything. The first thing I encourage you to do is SET SOME BOUNDARIES. Set a limit to the size of scrap you will keep (it has to be a size that is usable).
I was reading in my January/February issue of Simple Scrapbooks a great idea for all you scrapbooker/card makers. If you have scraps left over from a page make a quick card. Most of the time you have already coordinated all the supplies so half the work is done.
Another good idea for those of you that knit... if you have a portion of your thread left and you don't want to go out and buy more to make that scarf, a good idea for leftovers thread is to (thank you mom Spears) make a washcloth! Those are quite popular at our house!
