Online Gift Certificates – The Ultimate Last Minute Gift

Christmas is just a few days away, and hopefully you've got all, or at least most, of your shopping done, or know where you need to go to get those last few gifts.

But what if, out of the blue, you remembered someone you intended to buy for, or you receive an unexpected gift and feel obligated to reciprocate? There really isn't much time left to come up with an idea, figure out where you can find that item, and go out and buy it. And if the recipient lives out of town, the chances of getting that gift delivered on time for Christmas are slim to none.

Once again, the Internet comes to your rescue! Since online gift certificates can be purchased at any time of the day or night, and are usually delivered immediately, they are the ultimate last minute gift. In addition, the receiver will be able to select an item that they will like and use, so you don't have to worry about contributing to their collection of clutter.

Amazon.com is one of many vendors offering online gift certificates. In addition to books and DVDs, Amazon offers software, health and beauty products, housewares, and even groceries - literally something for everyone!

Although the product line at Amazon.ca isn't as extensive as the American site, with their wide selection of books, software, DVDs and music CDs, your Canadian friends will surely have no trouble finding something they will enjoy.
