Blog: Traveling With Kids
I resolve to...
Always plan ahead for all my trips.
Know my itinerary, but be prepared to change if something more interesting comes up (to allow my husband some breathing space!)
Research ahead of time the interesting things to do or see that are kid-friendly.
Update our lists for each type of travel that we do.
Keep what I can pre-packed.
Replenish/fix/replace items as soon as possible after returning from a trip so they are ready for the next trip.
Delegate packing jobs to my husband and teach my 4 year old daughter more about packing.
Investigate ways to keep my daughter interested in the packing process for longer.
Keep our family talking during trips – at least for some of the time.
Learn more games.
Have healthy snacks prepared for the kids – and us!
Eat the healthy snacks!
Get plenty of rest so I am able to deal resourcefully with any grumpy behavior.
Document our travels appropriately – photos, journals.
Keep within budget for our trips.
Find some more cool gadgets that help us to travel with kids!
I resolve not to...
Leave the house for an extended period of time without diapers, wipes, etc.
Leave the house without snacks, or a plan for food and drinks.
Spend hours packing for each trip.
Plan for junk food.
What will you take on this year?
