 Norton 360: an all-in-one solution for protecting your computer
Whether you use your computer for business or personal use, you are (hopefully!) aware of the possibility of losing data due to a virus or equipment failure. But do you have a system in place to prevent it? Unfortunately, for many people, the answer is "no, not yet." This is not something you should put off, as a disaster could occur at any time, causing you to lose hours or work and/or irreplaceable digital photos. And there's really no excuse, as there are a number of good programs out there, many of them free – but keep in mind that software can only protect your system against viruses and spyware if you download the updates on a regularly basis.
 After years of using separate programs to check my system for viruses and spyware, and running Defrag when I remembered to, I decided to purchase Norton 360. This product from Symantec protects your system against viruses, spyware, phishing, and other threats, as well as streamlining your backup process and letting you know when a defrag is needed. You don't even have to remember to download updates, as it does this automatically for you. In addition, the license allows you to install the software on up to three PCs.
My only complaint is that backing up my files to a DVD using this program takes a lot longer than when I was simply copying the files manually, but to compensate, I now set my backup to start when I'm finished my daily work, so it doesn't interfere with my productivity.
