Blog: Financial Organizing Made Easy & Fun
Wanna to Try Financial Software?
As a professional organizer and household money manager I spent quite a bit of time each week using personal finance software. Hey we all have our hidden talents, my just happens to be managing numbers and money!
My days are often spent helping clients weave their way through a seemingly endless list of purchases, returns, and transfers. This laundry list of transactions are very often downloaded (per my repeated suggestions to save us both valuable time & money) from various financial institutions and credit card issuers. What once sounded like a great idea has suddenly gone awry. I've learn to spot the signs. It's when of their excitment leaves and when the frustration begins to set it. Their normally friendly, upbeat personalities are replaced by extended, deep sighs, followed by long, slow glances with their now glazed over eyes.
So what does this all stuff have to do with you?
I consider myself knowledgeable about the subject matters I practice for a living. Let's consider my job as one part resource, one part support and sprinkled with a bit of spunk. This applies to my clients, colleagues, and even strangers who are need of a little help on topics that I happen to know a little something about.
With that in mind I couldn't help but share my find for this week with you out there!
Over at Quicken.com they offer now an online edition for about three dollars a month. As they say, "less than a latte" or in my personal case a mint moca! The tool offers many features like tracking your banking & credit account balances, reminders and alerts for payments, and track where your month is going in real time. Have an iPhone? It will work with that too! Now, that's cool.
I'm all for tools that make make life simpler or solve our pain. So, the Quicken online toll rates high for the on-the-go set who doesn't want to be tied up with lots of details or those who don't want a long-term commitment. Let's see, this would also great for those recent-college graduates or students learning to make ends met on a small budget!
So if you've always wondered about personal financial software or have simple, straightforward needs check out this new tool. It could be one great tool to help you manage your money better and get organized!
