WHAT'S HOLDING YOU BACK?

Recently, I have been plagued with that little pit in my stomach because I really want to work on some paper craft projects. If you read my business blog, you know that I am getting ready to sell my house and move.

When we started the process to get the house listed, I had to make the decision to pack up all my stuff  (this would be my craft stuff) and set it in the garage until we move. I actually packed everything up last November (feeling sorry for me yet?) and I haven't really created one thing... until yesterday.

I have to say it felt really good. When I pulled out my Diamond Glaze and paper stash my heart started to beat faster. I picked up a Maya Road Tea Break Tin at the craft store and thought we could use it for a travel container for my oldest son's Hot Wheels.

What I noticed when I was looking through my paper and embellishments... MY STUFF IS REALLY GETTING OLD and DRAB. After looking at all the cute things in the store yesterday (that I really did want to buy by the way) I all of a sudden was feeling a little conflicted.

I would love to go and buy some of the new and super cute items... but I have all this stuff that is perfectly good that is just getting old and well, unexciting to use.

When we neglect our craft... we start to loose our inspiration to create. Our materials become boring and uninteresting.  Now, some of you may be in a similar situation as I am... NO SPACE TO WORK IN... others maybe be TOO BUSY TO CRAFT... while there are those that NEED TO BE INSPIRED to create.

What ever your craft or passion here is my advice to you... MAKE THE TIME! We invest so much money into our crafts... why aren't we doing them?

I would love for some of you to and tell me what's holding you back from being creative or crafting.

I think today, I might have to set my craft space up in the garage... or at least a "temp" spot... just so I can get to my stuff a little easier. It's amazing how at peace I am when I have glue stuck to my fingers! It's all good!
