Let's face it -- change is scary! Even positive changes, like getting better organized or getting a job promotion, put us under a certain amount of STRESS. Unfortunately (or fortunately), you can't live your life in a bubble -- time marches on and life continues to evolve. And it seems that those who try and RESIST change, try to keep things the same way forever, are the ones who are most thrown off-course when the inevitable happens. But you can take a more PROACTIVE approach -- preparing yourself for change and even embracing its positive aspects. And this month, we will show you how to do that in many areas of life.
When faced with a change, try to see the positive side of the situation. You have the power to make any experience good or bad, with your ATTITUDE. Try to think of at least one good thing you got out any change it won't seem so scary.
Don't get so tightly wrapped up in your life that change throws you completely off-course. Leave yourself some MARGIN to adjust. If you were faced with an unexpected change tomorrow, could you handle it? Leave yourself some breathing space.
Some "unexpected changes" are PREVENTABLE -- if we pay closer attention to our lives. But we get busy and distracted and we don't do the little things that keep the big things from sneaking up on us. See if you can't cut a few crises off at the pass.†
