  • names of networking contacts in the area
  • information about recreational activities for any breaks
  • envelope for collecting travel expense receipts
  • laptop computer with charged battery and travel cords

GOING CAMPING

  • backpacks
  • water bottles or hydration system
  • plastic bags for wet clothes, trash, etc.
  • sunscreen and bug repellant
  • kitchenware (pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, etc.)
  • walking sticks
  • sleeping bag, mats, pillows, etc.
  • tent, tarp, poles, rain fly

TAKING A WINTER TRIP

WAYS TO SAVE SPACE

  • choose mix-and-match outfits
  • take one multi-use pair of shoes
  • plan to wear items multiple times or do laundry
  • roll items to avoid wrinkles and conserve space
  • store socks and underwear inside of shoes
  • use vacuum storage bags to flatten bulky items

YOUR CARRY-ON

  • prescriptions and toiletry items you can't go without
  • travel itinerary, confirmations, directions, tickets, etc.
  • passport, visa, and photo identification
  • credit cards, traveler's checks, and money
  • valuables that are expensive or hard to replace
