Q: WHAT IS THIS "REFERRAL NETWORK" ALL ABOUT?

A: Through our online referral service, we have set up a unique way for organizers to promote their services online. By joining our network, we will send you QUALIFIED referrals for organizing clients and offer you a variety of exclusive opportunities to market and expand your business -- only available to members!

Q: IS JOINING YOUR REFERRAL NETWORK EXPENSIVE?

A: Absolutely not! In fact, we have specifically set this program up so it will be AFFORDABLE to individual organizers. We ask for a one-time up-front administrative fee of $25 to plug you into our network -- no annual or monthly fees. Then, you only pay when you make a sale. If you get a paying client through our referral service, we ask for a 15% referral FEE for whatever work you do with each client for the first 6 months that you work with them. If you don't earn money from our website, you don't pay for the service.

Q: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "QUALIFIED" REFERRAL?

A: How many calls do you get from clients who live outside of your service area? Or want residential organizing when you only work with businesses? What a waste of your time! That won't happen with www.OnlineOrganizing.com. Tell us what KIND of organizing you do, what AREAS you serve, and the types clients with which you like to work. When a referral request comes in, we match you up with the clients you want -- based on your profile.

Q: HOW DO YOU GET REFERRALS?

A: Visitors come to our website searching for organizing help. They fill out a fairly detailed form, telling us where they are located and what kind of organizing help they need -- home, office, a speaker, or a coach. We then MATCH each client with the organizers in our network -- selecting up to three organizers who best meet the client's needs. If you are one of those organizers, you are given the client's CONTACT information -- and your information is sent to the client. It is then up to you to follow up.

Q: WHAT KIND OF ORGANIZING SERVICES CAN I OFFER?

A: Anything related to helping people manage time, space or paper. We will send you referrals for one-on-one CONSULTING (both residential and business organizing), workshops and SPEAKING engagements (local and national), COACHING services (both coaching organizing clients and other organizers), teleconsulting -- whatever! Just tell us what you do and we will send you clients!

Q: HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY REFERRALS?

A: First, we give your phone number and e-mail and a link to the online RESUME we create for you out to the client, so he or she can contact you. We will then send you an e-mail or fax notifying you of the referral -- including the client's contact information and requested services. It will be your responsibility to FOLLOW-UP with that client in whatever manner you feel most appropriate (phone, e-mail, on-site visit).

Q: HOW DO YOU SHARE MY INFORMATION WITH CLIENTS?

A: We will create a detailed "online resume" for you at our sitethat outlines your BACKGROUND, your organizing philosophy, testimonials from your clients, and your REFERENCES. When we suggest you as a referral for a client, that client will receive a link to your online resume -- so they can "get to know you" before they consider hiring you. Many organizers ask if we tell the client anything about your FEES -- and the answer is no. How much you choose to charge for your services is strictly between you and the client.

Q: DO YOU TELL CLIENTS MY FEES?

A: The answer is no. How much you choose to CHARGE for your services is strictly between you and the client.

Q: WHAT IF THERE AREN'T MANY CLIENTS WHERE I LIVE?

A: If you live in a rural area or a state with a smaller population, we may not receive as many requests for organizer referrals as we do in large cities and well-populated states. But we also offer you the opportunity to work with clients who live a bit further away -- either by TRAVELING to them for appointments (you may need to charge additional travel fees) -- or by providing long-distance PHONE or e-mail consulting. If you are interested in receiving referrals for these kinds of clients, be sure to let us know on your registration form.

Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO DO ONCE I GET A REFERRAL?

A: The first step is for you to CONFIRM the receipt of the referral -- you do this by clicking on a link in the referral email. Then you need to contact the client. We suggest that you try to reach your prospect by PHONE -- it seems that organizers who actually talk to the client have much better success turning them into paying customers than those who simply email or send out a brochure. Your next step will depend on your normal process for handling new clients. You may set up a free or paid CONSULTATION or you may schedule a time to get right to work.

Q: WHAT IF I GET A CLIENT THAT ISN'T READY?

A: Some referrals may take a while to turn into paying clients -- many people get excited about the IDEA of getting organized, then realize that their personal situation won't allow them to hire you right away. If it turns out that the timing isn't right or the client can't afford to hire you now, you may need to put that person on your long-term FOLLOW-UP list -- checking back every couple of weeks or couple of months until he or she is ready to get started. Ask the client "When is a good time for me to check back with you?" and agree on a date you will call back. It may take several months for the stars to align -- but the client will thank you in the end for sticking with them.

Q: HOW DO I TRACK MY APPOINTMENTS?

A: When we send you a referral, we will include a link to a short online referral STATUS form where you can let us know once a client has hired you. Then you will be sent a monthly tracking form for recording your paid work with that client.

Q: HOW DO YOU COLLECT YOUR FEES?

A: You will be responsible for BILLING your client as usual -- we do not get involved in the pricing end of things, nor do we collect direct payments from the client for your work. We simply ask that each time you have an appointment, you record the date, the number of HOURS you worked, and the amount charged. Then, at the beginning of each month, you complete the tracking form and send in a check for 15% of whatever amount you have charged the client the previous month. After 6 months, you no longer owe us any referral fees and that client is yours free and clear.

Q: HOW MANY REFERRALS DO YOU GIVE A CLIENT?

A: We give each client up to THREE referrals for organizers in their area. As you know, not every client is a good match for every organizer -- and vice versa. Just as we like for you to have a CHOICE of clients so you can find the people you will work best with, we like to do the same for our clients. We like for them to have a choice of prices, backgrounds, work styles, and personalities.

Q: WHY DON'T YOU JUST PUT UP A "LISTING" FOR ME?

A: How are you supposed to follow-up with clients who find you through a "listing" service -- especially if you didn't even know they existed?! You have no idea how many people saw your listing, wrote down your phone number -- then lost it or FORGOT to call you! We give you something you will never get with a listing service -- the client's contact information. You can follow-up, put that person on your mailing list, and keep your name in front of that client's face. It takes an average of 5-7 contacts before a client will HIRE you -- how can you make that happen if you never know who your prospects are?

Q: DO I HAVE TO HAVE A WEBSITE TO JOIN UP?

A: No -- we want to make this website ACCESSIBLE to all organizers, both high-tech and low-tech! All you need to have is a phone number and e-mail address so we can send your referrals to you.

Q: DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF NAPO TO JOIN UP?

A: No -- we want everyone to be able to participate in our referral program, regardless of whether or not they CHOOSE to join a professional organization. You may decide to be a member of any professional group that you choose, but that won't affect you receiving REFERRALS through www.OnlineOrganizing.com.

Q: WHAT IF I SELL ORGANIZING PRODUCTS?

A: We can help you sell your products via the internet, by offering them through our online shopping cart. We understand that setting up an e-commerce website can be expensive for just a few product -- that's why we've done all the work for you. We take responsibility for marketing your products, accepting credit card PAYMENTS, tracking orders, and handling customer service issues. Your only responsibility is for shipping and FULFILLMENT -- and you receive a check at the end of the month for your orders. In return for our services, we will deduct a 25% fee from your monthly check to cover our expenses. Just register your products to get started!

Q: CAN I GET REFERRALS TO COACH OTHER ORGANIZERS?

A: Certainly! We have an entire section in our website dedicated to coaching. Our goal is to educate Professional Organizers about the benefits of coaching -- as well as to offer REFERRALS to qualified professional coaches. Moreover, we promote your services as being specifically TAILORED to organizers' needs -- since all of our coaches were once (or still are) organizers themselves. You will receive referrals for coaching clients the same as any others.

Q: I SPEAK NATIONALLY -- HOW WILL YOU PROMOTE ME?

A: We are happy to include you in our speakers bureau. We will post a head shot and detailed description of each different TOPIC you would like to market. If you have video or audio clips of your speaking engagements, we can also make those available through our website. Potential clients will then have the opportunity to select one of your SPECIFIC talks, rather than just a general "speaking" referral.

Q: HOW ELSE CAN I PROMOTE MY BUSINESS?

A: As a member of our network, you may submit ARTICLES to our monthly online newsletters -- "Organized For A Living" and "Get Organized" -- as well as tip sheets and checklists to our "Organizers Toolbox." We will always be sure to give you credit for your submissions. We also invite you to post your public appearances and other personal organizing events in our online CALENDAR. Finally, you will have the opportunity to participate in any organizing events, holiday promotions, and other advertising efforts we sponsor -- both online and off. We will send our members a monthly e-mail NOTIFICATION of any promotional opportunities that arise.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR AFFILIATE PROGRAM ALL ABOUT?

A: When you sign up as an affiliate, will provide you with both a graphic and a text LINK to www.OnlineOrganizing.com that you can place on your website. Every time someone follows that link back to our website, our database keeps track of any purchases made during his or her visit. As an affiliate partner, you will be paid a 5% COMMISSION on any sales you bring us. You will receive a check every quarter for your percentage. We can also provide you with "organizing related" content for your site, and will send you regular updates of new products and special discounts we are offering. Remember, the more heavily you promote www.OnlineOrganizing.com on your site, the more potential sales you generate!

Q: ANY OTHER BENEFITS OF JOINING?

A: We select one MEMBER of our network each month as the "Organizer Of The Month" -- with a detailed bio and mention on our home page. Occasionally, we offer special DEALS throughout our website just for our referral network members -- and will be setting up "members only" areas, filled with useful information and resources that can only be accessed by our members.
