Marketing plays a vital role in the performance of a business -- but is at the same time a DAUNTING proposition to commit to. It is a time consuming and financially draining exercise requiring a lot of in-house resources.
If a business does not have the requisite resources in terms of manpower, ideas and marketing tools then it may be a good idea to think about OUTSOURCING your marketing program to an outside marketing agency or a professional marketing manager. Fledgling businesses, companies cutting down on size and companies with diversifying interests all have different marketing needs and allowing someone else to plan their marketing strategy allows them to CONCENTRATE on their main business and associated areas to deal with their competitors.
Marketing by an outside agency will appear to be EXPENSIVE, but it is more expensive if the same activity is planned to de done through INTERNAL resources. In case the companies hires full time employees for marketing then it will be spending a lot of money on their wages, taxes and benefits. This will be much higher than what they would spend on taking the services of an ad agency.
The interaction with an agency will provide valuable EXPERIENCE to your own staff for future campaigns. The ad agency can also help you save money when you have to use the resources of contacts, suppliers, designers, copywriters and printers. This is possible because the ad agency has the right CONTACTS and associates with those people on a regular basis.
When an outside agency comes in, it brings in a lot advantages. They are professional and focused on their job. They are not involved with the internal affairs of the company and are thus, immune to internal PRESSURES, relations between staffs. Whether independent professionals or marketing agencies, they are far more tuned to the pulse of the market than office staff or employees, so they obviously deliver better. They also have a better idea of what WORKS or fails in other campaigns since they have more exposure to other clients. This experience means better and improved marketing for you as you profit from this knowledge.
A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Another important aspect of outsourcing marketing professionals is that they work OBJECTIVELY. They help you look at the entire project from a different angle, helping you overcome obstacles and achieve higher goals. They help put across an idea you may have not otherwise have thought of or may even give you an entirely new and fresh APPROACH, very different from the same old ideas you may have been playing around for years with little success.
