Upscale My White Board, Please
What prompted me to write this blog was the attractive find of a white board (which is actually not white) that truly complements your home décor. If you've spent a lot of money remodeling your kitchen or bought your dream home with a designer kitchen, you may be hesitant to throw up a white board to support your Home Information Center. A Home Information Center is typically a mini office in the kitchen where you process paperwork, pay bills, post a family calendar and leave messages for family members.
A message board allows you to write messages and to-do lists, using a dry erase marker. Instead of the board being white, the Container Store has a message board which is a light brown bamboo pattern. It will blend into a kitchen décor or other rooms in your home with ease. It is also magnetic.
Other fun new twists on white boards are Wall Pops which are dry erase sheaths shaped in a circle with repositioning adhesive on the back. Think of it as a large reusable sticky note for your wall. Another version that's not new, but is still one of my favorite white board-twists, is the small reusable file folder labels by Write Once which allow you to use permanent pen on the labels, but still erase it when you want to use the folder for something else.
Lastly, do you travel a lot? Instead of tracking your travels with push pins, try a dry erase map that goes on the wall and allows you to track your travels just by drawing and erasing on the map with dry erase markers.
